Breast Milk is Still Best For Babies
A friend called me last night and told me the good news – she gave birth to a cute little girl and asked me to visit her and the baby within this week, since it’s like forever the last time we had chat and saw each other.
While we are changing updates of our lives over the phone she says that she’s still thinking if she will continue to breastfeed her newborn baby or not because she will need to go back to work after a month. Then, I remembered what my sister’s doctor said year ago when she gave birth to my niece. Her doctor says that feeding newly born baby through breast milk is still best than formula milk. Because one advantage of breast milk over formula milk is the protective substances it contains that protect the baby from various infections. I’ve also learned that breastfeeding is good for the health of the mother like, it reduces the risk of breast cancer later in life.
So, I told her what my sister’s doctor advice a year ago and it seem like she will continue to breastfeed her baby after hearing the advantages of breastfeeding.
