How to create a blog
Blogs are a great way to publish your ideas and thoughts, to make an extra income, or to educate others about something you know. No matter what your reason for wanting to create a blog the process is pretty simple. In today’s technological age just about anyone that has some basic computer skills and decent writing skills can create a blog.
The first thing you need to do before anything else is to get yourself a domain name. A domain name is the name you want to give to your website. To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. Before you register a domain name you need to check first if your desired domain name is available, and if not, you have to choose an alternative. To check the domain availability you need to go to any domain registrar and simple enter the domain name of your choice in the domain name search box.
Then choose a web hosting that suits your budget. There are lots of domain hosting company out there. Ask someone who’s experienced in web hosting. You can even use search engines to look for one and try to differentiate each.
Once you have settled your domain name and web host, the next step is to design the blog site itself. If you don’t have any idea how to design your blog you can hire a web designer to do it for you. But if you are in a tight budget there is an available premade template out there you can use and it’s free. Then test your blog in latest versions of major web browsers like Firefox and Internet Explorer to check if the web design work.
Once you have your blog set up, it is time to add your content then submit it to the search engines, particularly Google. Also try to advertise your blog to draw more traffic to your blog.
So that’s it! Good luck and Happy Blogging!
