My Bestfriend Is Now A Mom
Yesterday, my best friend and I and… her little princess met yesterday at the mall. She called me first thing in the morning and asked if I was available so we could meet up and see her five months old princess. Since it’s been three years that we haven’t seen each other and I’ve got nothing any important thing to do yesterday, I agree to meet them up. I was the one who came first on our meeting area so I saw them when they were about to enter at the mall. I was so happy and smiling all by myself after I saw my best friend entering with a medium size bag on her left shoulder and carrying her baby on her right shoulder. Memories of our childhood flashback to my mind that’s why I was smiling. I never imagine that my best friend since grade school is now a mom. Just seeing her made me think that she have changed a lot since she became a mom.
After we finished our food, we went on shopping. Surprisingly, we didn’t take too long doing our shopping just like the old days. She is not the old girl I know, who will spend an hour or more browsing the clothes on the shelves and fit them one by one on the fitting room. Instead of buying herself some clothes, we went to baby’s section and bought her baby some blanket, shirts and feeding bottles. Then, we sat again for an hour ’cause her baby was crying out loud for the third time since earlier. While she was feeding her baby, we were reminiscing our grade school and high school days but we need to stop from time to time ’cause her baby is making a scene, it won’t stop fro crying. We still got a lot of catching up to do but she need to go home early, since it is pretty different now. She is not the old girl who doesn’t care if we were going to scold by our parents for getting home late.
So, at exactly six in the evening, we bid goodbye at each other. Even though I got a chance meet to them yesterday, I still miss my best friend. But, I’m happy for her. I know she wanted this.
